The High Court on Wednesday ruled that only MBBS or BDS degree holders can use a doctor title before their name.
The bench of Justice Razik-Al-Jalil and Justice Sathika Hossain passed this order after hearing a writ petition filed earlier.
The court also said no steps will be taken against those who have already used the title.
If anyone breaks the law and uses “Dr” before their names without MBBS or BDS degree holders, will be punished from March 13.
