19 juvenile gang members arrested in Hajiganj

Hajiganj police in Chandpur arrested 19 individuals suspected of being involved in youth gangs over two days during a special operation. The Chandpur Sadar Model Police registered a case against some of the arrested juveniles.

The operation, carried out late Thursday night, targeted various areas within the municipality, including Hajiganj Upazila. Police raided Hajiganj railway station and nearby areas, arresting 9 gang members. Those without charges will be released into the custody of their guardians.

Earlier, 10 other youth gang members were arrested on Tuesday night. Hajiganj Police Station OC Muhammad Mohiuddin Farooq confirmed the 19 arrests and stated that the operation will continue under the direction of Superintendent of Police Muhammad Abdur Rakib, PPM.
