To avoid any unforeseen circumstances, the authorities have announced the suspension of classes at Dhaka College today, Thursday. Similarly, classes at City College have also been suspended for the day.
A notice issued by the Principal's office of Dhaka College on Wednesday night stated that, due to unavoidable circumstances, all classes would be suspended on Thursday (Nov 21). However, the offices and departments will remain open, and scheduled exams will proceed as planned.
Meanwhile, a brief notice signed by the Acting Principal of Dhaka City College, Professor Kazi Neamul Hoq, stated that, due to unavoidable circumstances, all classes will remain suspended on Thursday (Nov 21).
Earlier, following an incident of vandalism involving Dhaka College bus, students of Dhaka and City College clashed. Intermittent running battles continued throughout the area until around 5:30 pm.
The situation was eventually brought under control when the Army and Police intervened, using tear gas and sound grenades.
