IPL kicks off tonight

Indian Premier League (IPL) kicks off at the Eden Gardens on Saturday evening.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will get the six-week long tournament going, as their batsmen gear up to hit those perfect sixes.

This season, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allowed bowlers, cricket’s marginalized lot, to use saliva to shine the ball and in case of heavy dew in the second innings provide them a dry old ball.
