Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen has expressed hope that Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus' visit to China will be a milestone in strengthening relations between the two countries.
He made the statement while briefing journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
Ahead of the Chief Adviser’s visit to China, Yao Wen held a meeting with Foreign Secretary M Jashim Uddin.
After the meeting, Yao Wen stated that 2025 would mark the 50 years of diplomatic relationship between Bangladesh and China.
He also hoped that CA’s visit to China will be constructive and fruitful.
He further said, "We are still working in preparation for the Chief Adviser's visit to China. Our goal is to explore how both countries can benefit mutually."
On March 26, Dr Muhammad Yunus will embark on a three-day visit to China.
