At least one Israeli has been killed and another injured in an operation allegedly involving a car-ramming, gunfire, and stabbing in northern occupied territories, Press TV reported.
The retaliatory operation was carried out on a road near Yokne’am, southeast of Haifa on Monday.
Israeli police said the assailant initially rammed his vehicle into several people waiting at a bus stop, then exited his car with a rifle and opened fire on passing vehicles.
The assailant, it added, was shot dead by the regime's forces who arrived at the scene.
A 75-year-old man was shot dead during the attack, according to the Magen David Adom ambulance service.
A 20-year-old man, who was stabbed, is in a critical and unstable condition.
