Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s 'Bhool Chuk Maaf', a time-loop romantic comedy set in Varanasi, has a release date.
Directed and written by Karan Sharma, the film follows Ranjan (Rajkummar), a hopeless romantic who lands a government job to win his love, Titli (Wamiqa). But right before the wedding, he realises he is stuck in a time loop, repeatedly waking up on the day of his Haldi ceremony, reports the Hindu.
In an earlier teaser, we see Rajkummar’s character fixing the 30th of the month as the auspicious day for his wedding with Wamiqa’s character. On the 29th, he celebrates the Haldi ceremony with his family and goes to sleep, eager to wake up and marry the love of his life. However, he is shocked to wake up once again on the 29th, on the day of the Haldi ceremony. He gets frustrated when he realises that he is perennially stuck on the day of the Haldi.
The film is described as a hilarious yet touching journey of “love, destiny, and second chances.” Sanjay Mishra, Raghuvir Yadav and Seema Pahwa are also featured in the cast.
'Bhool Chuk Maaf' will releases in cinemas on May 9, 2025. The film is produced by Maddock Films, the banner behind money-spinning small-town comedies like Luka Chuppi and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and the hit Stree franchise.
