BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday said that a new conspiracy is being hatched to destabilize Bangladesh again and plunge it into danger.
He made the remarks while speaking at an iftar mahfil of BNP Media Cell at Ladies Club in the capital.
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman spoke on the occasion virtually from London.
“There will have no benefit of the conspiracy. It’s only purpose is to endanger the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh as it was perpetrated during fascist government.”
Fakhrul said attempt is being made to make the country unprotected.
Journalists as the conscience of the nation also always stood beside the nation during all critical time, he added.
Mirza Fakhrul also sought support of the journalists to fight the smear campaign against BNP.
