Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal's condition is now stable after undergoing an angiogram at a hospital in Savar. The procedure included the insertion of a stent, and he is being closely monitored in a CCU.
The incident occurred during the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League match between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Shinepukur Cricket Club at BKSP, Savar on Monday.
Initially, arrangements were made to airlift Tamim via helicopter to the hospital, but the plan was unsuccessful. As a result, he was transported by ambulance to Fazilatunnesa Hospital, located near BKSP, where he received immediate medical attention.
Tamim, who was captaining the Mohammedan team in the match, had also participated in the toss earlier. Shortly after taking the field, he began experiencing chest pain and was given first aid at the ground.
However, as his condition did not improve, he was transported to the nearby Fazilatunnesa Hospital for further treatment.
