Popular singers Balam and Nancy last lent their voice together in the film “Common Gender”. The film was released on 22 June 2012. The song was recorded few years before the film’s release.
15 years have passed since then. These two artistes have not sung together in any film. However, they have worked on an awareness video for an NGO in the past. But they have not been seen in a movie, drama or web film.
Although they have not been seen together, both are busy with their respective movies. This time, they have come together again. They have played back in a web film titled “How Sweet” by directed by Kajol Arefin Ome. The title of the song is “Maya Maya Lage”. The music of the song is composed by Akash Sen with lyrics by Asif Iqbal.
About the song, Nancy said, “Balam bhai is a great singer. We last sang in the film ‘Common Gender’. It’s been more than 15 years since Balam bhai and I sang together like that. But we didn’t meet while giving the voice of the song. We took different voices. But it feels good that Balam bhai and I are singing together again after a long time. It’s a very romantic song. I hope the song will be very popular with the audience.”
“After a long time, Nancy and I played together. Nancy sings wonderfully. This song is also great. It’s a pure romantic song. I believe the audience will not be disappointed”, Balam said.
Actors Apurba, Farin, Saidur Rahman Pavel, Abdullah Rana, Erfan Mridha Shiblu and others have played different roles in the project.
