Alex Hales played a blistering 113-run innings to make it four in four for Rangpur Riders in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as they beat Sylhet Strikers by 8 wickets at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday.
Chasing 206, Rangpur comfortably chased down keeping an over and 8 wickets in hand riding on Hales’ hundred and Saif Hassan’s blistering 80 off 49 balls.
Hales remained unbeaten on 113 hitting 10 boundaries and 7 maximums while Saif hit 3 boundaries and 7 maximums.
Earlier, Sylhet too had a great day with the bat scoring 205/4 in their 20 overs. Rony Talukdar scored 54 but the late surge was done by Aaron Jones (38* off 19) and Jaker Ali (20* off 5).
