A major earthquake jolted Dhaka and other parts of the country on Tuesday at 7:05 am.
Initially, no reports of damage have been received.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.1 on the Richter scale, originated 93 kilometers northwest of Lebuche, Nepal, at a depth of 10 kilometers below the Earth's surface.
Apart from Bangladesh, the earthquake was felt across Nepal, India, Bhutan, and China.
