Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday forecasted that weather may remain dry with chances of light rain at one or two places over north, central and north-eastern regions for the next twenty-four hours.
"Weather may remain mainly dry with the temporary partly cloudy sky over the country having chances of light rain or drizzle at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions", according to the forecast which begins from 9am.
A ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay extending its trough to the North Bay, reports BSS.
Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country from midnight to morning.
Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may fall by (1-2) degrees Celsius over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 32.5 degrees Celsius in Sitakunda and the minimum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 9.5 degrees Celsius in Tetulia.
The sun will set on Tuesday at 05:27 pm and rise tomorrow at 06:43am in Dhaka.
