BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is leaving the country after a long time. Last-minute preparations are underway at her Gulshan residence in the capital, Firoza, as she’s to leave Dhaka for the UK for better treatment.
In the meantime, leaders and activists have come from Gulshan to Airport Road to bid farewell to the leader. Thousands of leaders and activists have gathered along the way. They expect that Begum Zia will return to the country's politics after recovering.
The former prime minister will leave her Gulshan residence at 8 pm on Tuesday and reach the airport, complete immigration formalities and leave for London at 10 pm. Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is scheduled to meet Begum Khaleda Zia during a stopover in Doha.
Before leaving for London, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia expressed her gratitude to the countrymen and sought prayers for her recovery.
