Bashundhara Kings win fourth straight BPL title

Bashundhara Kings made history as they emerged champions of the Bangladesh Premier League for record fourth time in a row after beating Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra 6-4 at Kings Arena Friday.

Oscar Bruzon's side clinched the title with three games in hand, earning a total of 46 points from 17 matches.

Abahani Limited, who drew with arch-rivals Mohammedan Sporting Club 1-1 on the same day in Comilla, sit second with 34 points from same number of outings.

Since independence in 1971, no team have managed to win the top-tier league for four successive times.
