BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman has said that new issues could be incorporated into the 31-point state reform proposal introduced by the party for the welfare of the country and its people.
“The 31-point reform proposal is not something that cannot be changed. We will modify and update it from time to time, according to the needs of the country and the people. We will add new elements as necessary,” he said.
Tarique Rahman made this statement during a political workshop held at the party chairperson’s Gulshan office in the capital on Wednesday.
The party’s Training and Research Affairs Committee organised the day-long workshop, where leaders of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal participated.
"BNP is a political party from which people have expectations. This party stands for the country and will work for the welfare of the people," he added.
Addressing the student leaders, Tarique Rahman said, “You, who are going to various educational institutions, are representatives of the party to the people of the country. Those you interact with will lead this country in the future. Listen to them and consider their opinions. The future leaders of the nation will emerge from among them."
BNP standing committee members -- Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, and Salahuddin Ahmed, among others, were present at the event.
