A dengue and health awareness seminar for indigenous children was held in the Ghoraghat Upazila of Dinajpur District.
Ghoraghat Upazila unit of Bashundhara Shuvosangho organised the seminar at the Kalupukur Children's Education Center on Monday.
The event was presided over by president of Ghoraghat unit of Shuvosangho Turag Khan.
Head teacher of Kalupukur Children's Education Center Robin Hansda delivered a speech focusing on dengue prevention and health awareness.
Among others, Vice President of Ghoraghat unit of Shuvosangho Afridi Kabir Raka, General Secretary Kawsar Habib, Assistant Organisational Secretary Ripon Soren, Sports Secretary Ridoy Baske, Forestry and Environment Secretary Biplob Mardi, Cultural Affairs Secretary Hemanto Vincent Biswas, Labor and Planning Secretary Thomas Alfa, and Women Affairs Secretary Estrela Hansda were present.
Additionally, members Anonto Hembram, Albenus, and children and locals from Kalupukur Children's Education Center attended the event.
In his address, Head Teacher Robin Hansda highlighted the need for more support for indigenous communities, who still face various challenges.
He acknowledged the positive impact of such programs, noting that this was the first time an awareness seminar had been held in his area or school.
Hansda expressed gratitude toward Bashundhara Shuvosangho for organising this initiative, wishing all its members good health and longevity.
