The Ministry of Finance has unveiled the Outsourcing Service Procurement Policy-2025, a new initiative designed to improve the conditions and welfare of service workers. Announced on April 15, the policy aims to provide greater financial security, job stability, and work-life balance for outsourced employees in government services.
The policy introduces a significant increase in monthly wages for five service categories and three special service sectors. In addition, Baisakhi incentives have been introduced, offering workers 50% of their monthly service price as a bonus, with an additional 20% for specific categories.
Service workers will now enjoy a 15-day annual leave, along with training programs on basic work skills to enhance job performance. As part of the new welfare measures, each worker will receive two new uniforms per year. Female workers will also be granted 45 days of maternity leave to support family care.
The new policy also introduces the opportunity for service workers to access the National Pension Authority’s universal pension benefits, ensuring long-term financial security. Payments for service work will be directly processed through banking channels via the Bank Mobile Financial Service, ensuring timely and secure transactions.
With this move, the government hopes to enhance the living standards of outsourced workers, providing them with better pay, security, and support while promoting a healthier, more sustainable working environment.
