BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that the judges who were collaborators of fascism should also face trial.
Rizvi made this comment at a discussion titled '6 million accused in false cases of fascism, how far is their release' organized by the Nationalist Research Foundation (NRF) at the Jahur Hossain Chowdhury Hall of the National Press Club in the capital on Saturday.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, 'If their trial is ensured, in the future no one will have the courage to use any court to inflict ill will and undemocratic torture on people.'
The BNP senior joint secretary general said, “The court is one of those who helped establish Sheikh Hasina's fascism. Justice Khairul Haque, Justice Enayetur Rahim, Justice Asaduzzaman— countless such names.
He said, "There’s the most innocent woman who has fought for the people without ceasing the country, who has not abandoned the people or the land despite suffering hundreds of persecutions. Asaduzzaman has even sentenced the national leader Begum Khaleda Zia in a false case filed against her. Why shouldn't those judges be punished?"
Regarding the case against BNP leaders and activists during the Awami League, Rizvi said, "The case against 6 million leaders and activists should not have been on the court shelf even after eight months. These cases must be resolved very quickly."
Demanding an early election roadmap, not from December to June, Rizvi said that the people want an end to the dilemma over the elections. By delaying the elections, the government is deviating from the people's expectations.
He alleged that serious corruption allegations have been made against some advisors, which is tarnishing the spirit of the 2024 mass uprising.
