Bashundhara Shuvosangho observed 'Global Handwashing Day' at Khetlal upazila in Joypurhat on Tuesday to promote proper and frequent handwashing habits among children.
The volunteer platform organised a handwashing campaign at a community school they run.
Russel Ahmed, president of Bashundhara Shuvosangho Khetlal unit, advised the students on handwashing.
“This campaign aims to create and inspire global public awareness. The main purpose of the day is to support handwashing with soap,” he said.
Bashundhara Shuvosangho School headteacher Helena Akhter, assistant teacher Farzana Akhter, Shuvosangho sports affairs assistant secretary Habibur Rahman and members Roshanara Rifah and Fahmida Roshni were also present on the occasion.
