“Saba” is the first film of popular TV actor Mehazabien Chowdhury. After Toronto International Film Festival, the film, directed by Maksud Hossain, has been screened at the 29th Busan International Film Festival.
The film was screened at CGV Centum City 3 in Busan on Friday at 12:30 PM Bangladesh time. Many international visitors and Bangladeshi audience members attended and enjoyed the movie. Director Maksud Hossain and actor Mehazabien Chowdhury went to Busan to see the film's premiere, reports Daily Sun.
Two more screenings of the film will take place today and on October 9, and all the tickets have already sold out.
Besides Mehazabien, Rokeya Prachy and Mostafa Monwar have played two key roles in the project.
“Saba is my first silver screen project. I could not imagine that the film will get such a response from the audience. As my debut film, I had to take many challenges. I have done a lot of work on the small screen, but I have to think a lot about the big screen. My film is being shown in foreign soil; I’m also getting huge response from the audience. I’m really happy. I want to do more good films in future”, Mehazabien Chowdhury shared her feelings to the media in this way.
This year, the Busan Film Festival is showcasing 279 films from 63 countries. The festival started on October 2 and will run until October 11.
