Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, forever beloved as Jack and Rose from ‘Titanic’, reunited at a special screening of Kate's new movie ‘Lee’ in Los Angeles this week, delighting fans with their ongoing friendship.
Fans quickly shared pictures of the duo on X. In a video posted by a fan account, Leonardo introduced Kate before the screening, saying, “Tonight I hope everyone bears witness to a film that captures not only the complexity of Lee's life but also the emotional weight of what it means to share the truth no matter how painful it is. Kate, my dear friend, your work in this film has been nothing short of transformative", reports Hindustan Times.
He added, "I continue to be awestruck. I continue to admire your strength, your integrity, your talent and your passion to every single project that you create. So, without further ado, one of the great talents of our generation, the one and only- Kate Winslet.”
At the end of the video, Kate was seen giving Leonardo a warm hug, drawing loud cheers from the audience. Fans reacted to the pictures, with one saying, "Love their bond," another joking, "They did this for me!" A third fan commented, "Showing up for each other since ‘97," while another shared, "My favorite duo of all time."
‘Lee’ stars Kate as WWII journalist Lee Miller, alongside Marion Cotillard, Andrea Riseborough, Andy Samberg, Noémie Merlant, and Josh O'Connor. The film, directed by Ellen Kuras, is based on the 1985 biography ‘The Lives of Lee Miller’ by Antony Penrose.
Kate and Leonardo also starred in the film Revolutionary Road.
