Major Hollywood studios are pledging millions of dollars to support rescue workers and aid organisations providing disaster relief to those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires, reports Al Jazeera.
Amazon, Comcast and Netflix each said they’re donating $10m while Disney announced $15m. Warner Bros Discovery also promised $15m and Sony $5m, LA trade publications Variety and The Hollywood Reporter reported.
The money will go to a variety of organisations from the California Fire Department to the Red Cross. Amazon also offered to lend company drones to first responders as well as donate food, cots and hygiene products.
Most of the companies also announced they would provide financial and logistical support to employees who lost their homes in the fires.
