Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus emphasized the vision for Bangladesh's future, stating, "We want to build Bangladesh from now on in such a way that the people are the source of all power. Through this, Bangladesh will be appreciated in the world as a humane and welfare state." He outlined the goal of creating a nation where the power lies with the people, positioning Bangladesh as a model of humanity and welfare on the global stage.
He shared these remarks during a reception for freedom fighters at the Army Multi-Purpose Complex in Dhaka Cantonment, held on the occasion of Armed Forces Day on Thursday.
Dr. Yunus expressed his dedication to realizing the vision of the freedom fighters, saying, "I am committed to fulfilling the dream of the freedom fighters of a country free from discrimination, exploitation, welfare and free air with which they made the country." He also highlighted the country's approach to international relations, stating, "We will maintain friendship with all countries. Our foreign policy will be mutual respect, trust, faith and cooperation."
He stated, "We have ushered in a new Bangladesh through the student-public revolution on August 5. In this new country, our responsibility is to bind all people into a larger family. There will be differences and arguments in the family. However, none of us will be enemies of anyone. We will not consider anyone an enemy because of their opinion. We will not consider anyone an enemy because of their religion. We are all equal, we are all members of the same family. No one is above anyone, no one is below anyone—we want to establish this idea in national life."
