Two people were killed in a tragic road accident at the Garadoho Old Bus Stand in Shahjadpur upazila on Saturday, reports BSS.

The deceased were identified as Ariful Islam Sujan Sheikh (28), an auto-rickshaw driver from Bangram village, and Bahadur Mia (30), a resident of Jamirata village in Shahjadpur upazila.

According to locals, the accident occurred when a truck collided head-on with the auto-rickshaw, leaving both Ariful and his passenger, Bahadur, dead on the spot.

Police seized the truck and the auto-rickshaw from the scene.

After completing the legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to the families for burial.
