Sheikh Hasina, the former PM of Bangladesh, is currently staying in India after getting overthrown in recent mass uprising in Bangladesh. Now, Indian foreign minister S Jaishankar opens up about extradition of Hasina.
A journalist wants to know about the issue at the joint press conference held after the meeting with German foreign minister Annalena Beyerbock in German capital Berlin on Tuesday.
The journalist said that the Bangladesh government is saying that they will seek the return of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Will India consider such a request, the journalist asked.
In response, India's Foreign Minister Jaishankar said, "You know - the government has changed in Bangladesh. We are obviously working with this government. We do this through diplomatic channels, not on media reports."
