Bangladesh received a substantial $172 crore 63 lakh 50 thousand in remittances through legal channels during the first 23 days of November.
The daily average reached over $7.50 crore as of November 23, according to data from the Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Sunday.
The country received $172.27 crore in the same period of October. The remittance flow has increased in this month.
An analysis of the central bank’s data shows that out of the total remittances received by November 23, $63 crore 99 lakh 20 thousand came through state-owned banks, $13 crore ten lakh 40 thousand through specialised banks, $95 crore 13 lakh 10 thousand through private banks, and $40 lakh 80 thousand through foreign banks.
