A case has been filed against seven policemen including Jashore's former Superintendent of Police Anisur Rahman on the allegation of enforced disappearance of BNP activist Masum.
The victim was the son of Motiur Rahman of Nawapara village of Jessore Sadar Upazila.
Anisur Rahman is currently attached to the Naval Police in the rank of DIG.
The other accused in the case are Jessore Kotwali Police Station OC Shikder Akkas Ali, SI Abu Ansar, Constable Hafiz, Constable Abhijit, Constable Saeed and Constable Hasnat.
The case was filed in the Jessore Senior Judicial Magistrate Court on Tuesday afternoon by Quddus Ali, the uncle of missing BNP activist Masum. Judge Golam Kibria directed the OC of Jessore Kotwali police station to take the complaint as evidence. Ruhin Baluj, the plaintiff's lawyer, confirmed the matter.
