Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury, one of the key organizers of Ahinsha Gonabhutyhan (Non-violent Uprising), was arrested by a team from the Cyber Crime Investigation Division of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit, on Monday, November 25, at approximately 8:15 pm, reports UNB.
The arrest took place in the Shantinagar area of Dhaka, following a carefully coordinated operation based on confidential intelligence.
According to CTTC sources, Chowdhury, who is a senior joint secretary and a prominent convener of the central committee of Ahinsha Gonabhutyhan, was taken into custody following a covert operation in the Shantinagar area.
Following his arrest, he was transferred to Shahbagh Police Station, where legal proceedings are currently underway.
