Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said the police forces in the country have been able to create an investment-friendly environment in the country by protecting law and order and implementing a zero-tolerance policy against militancy and terrorism, reports UNB.
"As a result, foreign investors are drawn to this country. The country's economy is growing," he said.
The IGP said these while inaugurating the newly constructed Studio Dormitory building of Sunamganj's Shalla police station on Friday.
"For a long time, the police have been performing electoral duties. We are prepared to face any challenge in the coming days."
Sylhet Range DIG Mofiz Uddin Ahmed, Sunamganj Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ehsan Shah, and other officials were present.
