A 26-year-old woman and her six-year-old daughter were crushed to death on rail tracks in Lalmonirhat's Patgram Friday morning, police said, reports UNB.
Also, the accident left her two-year-old son critically injured.
The dead were identified as Sumi Begum and her daughter Tasmira Tabassum Tasin from Dhabalsuti Rahmanpur village of Patgram.
A Burimari land port-bound train ran them over as they were crossing the Burimari-Patgram railway tracks in the Ghunti area around 10am, Omar Faruk, officer-in-charge of Patgram Police Station, said. "The mother and her daughter died on the spot."
The bodies were sent to the district's Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsies, Faruk said.
Sumi's son is now undergoing treatment at the hospital, he added.
