Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said cultural activists played great role in achieving Bangladesh independence and flourishing its democracy, reports BSS.
"The culture and education are deeply related. We have to keep our rich culture alive--- cultural activists contributed to achieving Bangladesh independence and flourishing its democracy," she said.
The education minister said this while inaugurating a five day long "Gate opening festival" at Sufiaful Monch in Taslima-Jalal Monchobari at Golaidanga village under Singair Upazila of the district as the chief guest on Wednesday evening.
She said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to spread the peace all over the country and she was recognized as the leader of humanity all over the world.
The function was also addressed, among others, by Momtaj Begum MP and Monchakusum Shimul Yousuf.
