Prime Minister’s information and communication technology adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy said the list provided by UN on enforcedly disappeared people of Bangladesh is questionable.
He said evidence showed that of many of these 76 people are still living in Bangladesh, adding that in the list there’re name of two Indian citizens, along with listed fugitive culprits.
Joy said this in a facebook post from his verified page on Thursday night.
Prime Minister’s ICT adviser said, “A UN report listing ‘victims of enforced disappearances’ in Bangladesh is riddled with mind-boggling inaccuracies that expose the global body's over-reliance on biased NGOs known for faking cases of human rights violations.
One such victim listed by the UN Working Group on Enforced Disappearances in Bangladesh is a top secessionist leader from Manipur who is living with his family in his ancestral home in Bangladesh after serving his jail term in India.”
How could a UN do such a mistake, asking this question Sazeeb Wazed Joy said it can only be possible if they publish the disappearance incidents provided by local NGOs without properly scrutinizing them.
