India has asked Canada to recall over 40 of its diplomats from its lands, according to the report of The Financial Times.
New Delhi has set a deadline of October 10 for the repatriation, as informed by source related to the matter.
Canada has 62 diplomats in India and earlier India had said that the total should be reduded by 41,
Earlier, India had asked Canada to downsize its diplomatic presence to the country as the relation between two countries plunged into an all-time low following Ottawa’s allegation against New Delhi over killing of Khalistani separatist in Canadian soil.
