Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the Jatiya Nagorik Committee in Tangail distributed leaflets demanding the release of the July manifesto under the slogan 'July is the inspiration, we must declare'.
The leaflet campaign started from Tangail Municipal Park on Thursday afternoon. They distributed leaflets at important points in the city.
In the leaflets, they raised 7-point demands, including the state recognition of the martyrs of the July Uprising and the promise of providing free state medical treatment to the injured as soon as possible.
Al Amin, the convener of the district committee of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, member secretary Monirul Islam and the president of the Jatiya Nagorik Committee of the city were present while distributing the leaflets.
They said, 'Although the government has taken initiatives, it has not released the July manifesto yet. The July manifesto must be released by January 15.'
