The newly elected president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir’s Jahangirnagar University unit is Muhibur Rahman Muhib, while Mostafizur Rahman has been nominated as the secretary, reports UNB.
This information was announced in a press release issued by the organization's publicity wing on Friday morning. It said that during a members' assembly held at 10 am, the election of the president and nomination of the secretary for the 2025 session were finalized.
The event was attended by members of the student organization's central executive committee, led by its central president, Zahidul Islam.
The election for the president was conducted through ballots signed by the central president. After counting the votes, the central president declared Muhibur Rahman Muhib as the president and administered the oath to him.
Following the election, the newly elected president nominated Mostafizur Rahman as the secretary of the unit, based on members' recommendations.
Muhib, the newly elected president of Islami Chhatra Shibir’s Jahangirnagar University unit, said, "We will form a full committee very soon."
Muhib is a student of the 47th batch of Department of Bangla, while Mostafizur is a student of the same batch in the Department of Philosophy.
