Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Pranay Verma visited the Commonwealth War Cemetery in Chattogram on Tuesday.
The envoy was accompanied by the commanding officers of the visiting Indian Coast Guard Ships ICGS Shaurya and ICGS Rajveer, said a media release from the Indian High Commission.
The war cemetery originally had about 400 burials. The graves have since been transferred to the cemetery from the Lushai Hills of Assam and other cemeteries.
According to the release, currently, there are 731 Commonwealth burials of World War II.
