The court has ordered the imprisonment of former Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Atiq, former police officer Alep Uddin, and former RAB officer Mohiuddin Faruqui, following their remand.
The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Courts 7 and 19 issued the order on Friday afternoon.
However, the accused were not present in court during that time.
State prosecutor Anamul Karim Liton said that former Dhaka North Mayor Atiqul Islam was on a five-day remand in connection with the Bakul Mia murder case in Uttara East Thana.
Meanwhile, in a separate murder case under Jatrabari Thana, former Additional SP Alep Uddin and former RAB-2 Company Commander Mohiuddin Farooqui were held on a two-day remand.
Upon completion of their remand, they were presented in court, where the court ordered their imprisonment following a police request.
