Rain continued to pour in Kanpur, delaying the Day 2 of the second and final Test between Bangladesh and India on Saturday, reports BSS.
The rain hit the Day 1 severely and only 35 overs of play were possible before Bangladesh reached 107-3.
A BCB official informed that the players of the two teams had already returned to hotel as the rain refused to relent.
According to weather forecast, the Kanpur, a prominent city of India’s Uttar Pradesh will experience more rain today, raising a prospect of the Day 2 being washed out completely.
Before, the combination of rain and bad light brought a premature end to Day 1, Mominul Haque was batting on 40 with veteran Mushfiqur Rahim on 6.
Bangladesh are aiming to draw the two-match Test series following their 280-run defeat in the first game. They are also looking to secure their maiden Test victory over India.
