Bangladesh openers Tamim Iqbal and Litton Das are contemplating sitting out the final ODI of the three-match series against New Zealand on September 26 in Dhaka,
This might be happened with view to rotate other players to get a guideline for selecting the final squad for upcoming World Cup, reports UNB.
Litton captained the Bangladesh team in the first two matches, with the first match being washed out due to rain, while in second match Bangladesh conceded defeat.
Tamim made a comeback in this series after an injury-induced hiatus. He couldn't bat in the first match, and in the second match, he scored 44 runs. Unfortunately, Bangladesh suffered a big defeat due to the struggles of the other batters.
Shakib Al Hasan, the regular captain of Bangladesh, was absent in the first two matches, but he is anticipated to make a return for the last match. However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is yet to announce the team for the final match.
This series serves as the final opportunity for Bangladesh to fine-tune their squad for the upcoming World Cup.
