Rain ruined the game when SA was surely on winning chance in the game against Zimbabwe in ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
In the game held at Hobart in Australia, winning the toss, Zimbabwe opted to bat first.
The match was curtailed to 9 overs and Zimbabwe struggled from the very beginning to score runs due to tight bowling of SA bowlers and overcast condition. At one stage they were just 19 for 4.
Wessly Madhevre’s 35 from 18 took them to 79 for 5.
Rain disrupted the match once again and revised target for South Africa was set to 64 in 7 overs.
SA opener Quinton de Cock hammered blistering 47 off just 18 balls and they were 51 for no loss in just 3 overs when rain abandoned the match.
South Africa cricket team is very much familiar to this type of unlucky situation as rain also snatched their wins in World Cup Cricket of 1992, 2003 and some other games.
