Bashundhara Shuvosangho has provided food along with financial support to the family of Md Hasan Sardar, who sustained 400 splinters during the July-August movement.
Hasan recently shared his struggle with family members and financial hardship to pay tuition fees of brothers and sisters living in the Goil union of Agailjhara upazila of Barishal.
Shuvosangho Agailjhara upazila unit Adviser SM Omar Ali Sunny and local Press Club President Mahbubul Islam jointly handed over the food package to Hasan’s family on Saturday.
The food package includes 25 kg of rice, 5 kg of flour, 2 kg of pulses, 2 litres of oil, 2 kg of potatoes, and Tk4,000 in cash to Hasan Sardar and mother Nurjahan Begum.
Local college’s former VP Md Anwar Zahid Alo, social worker Md Farhad Hossain, Shuvosangho members Md Iran Sardar, student leaders Md Saifur Rahman Titu, Kawsar Khalifa, Azad Elahi, Tuhin Sikder, Mehedi Hasan Tanzil, Arif Hasan Mridha, and others were present at that time.
After receiving the food items and money, Hasan and his family were filled with joy. They will no longer have to worry about food during the month of Ramadan.
