A case was filed against 431 people, including fascist Sheikh Hasina and former road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader for allegedly attempting to murder Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activist Zakirul Islam during July-August mass uprising.
Zakirul registered the case with Bogura Sadar Police Station, naming 181 people and 250 unnamed others on March 16.
Bogura Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge (investigation) said the further action will be taken after investigation.
The other prominent accused in the case are Bogura district Awami League president and former lawmaker Mojibur Rahman Mojnu, general secretary and former lawmaker Ragebul Ahsan Ripu, district Jatiya Party president and former lawmaker Shariful Islam Jinnah, and Awami League leader Monjurul Alam Mohon.
According to the case statement, Zakirul along with students and people brought out a rally at Yakubia School intersection in Bogura town on August 4. Awami League cadres and their associates attacked the rally, firing gunshots and throwing crude bombs on the innocent people. Many protesters, including Zakirul, got injured in the attack.
Zakirul received shrapnel injuries on different parts, it added.
