Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has sought South Korean assistance to treat the wounded of the anti-discrimination student movement and their rehabilitation programme.
Shafiqur revealed the information after meeting with Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Park Young Sik at the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in the capital’s Mogbazar on Tuesday.
The Jamaat ameer said they discussed employment opportunities for Bangladeshis in South Korea and increased Korean investment in Bangladesh.
They also discussed positively to boost bilateral relations between the two countries.
Park Young Sik said South Korean investment in Bangladesh to be continued.
Mentioning that the interim government was formed two months ago, he wishes success of the government.
