Eminent journalists Mushfiqul Fazal Ansari, known as the strong critics of former ousted Sheikh Hasina government, returned to country from USA on Thursday evening after a long gap of 12 years.
This exiled journalist will be felicitated Friday (September 13) at 3 pm at the National Press Club. When asked about this, journalist Mushfiqul Fazal Ansari said, “I am thrilled to return to the country after so long. I look forward to being reunited with my loved ones, friends, students, teachers and journalists.”
He further said that the country was freed from dictatorship by the supreme sacrifice of the students, paving the way for the restoration of democracy, freedom of expression and other fundamental rights. A Nobel-winning professor has taken on the country's transitional indifference, a matter of pride for us as a nation.
Mushfique left the country in January 2015. Before that, he served as Assistant Press Secretary to former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia from 2001 to 2006.
