BNP will observe International Democracy Day on September 14 at Central Shaheed Minar and September 14 at Naya Paltan to honour the memory of those who lost their lives in the recent anti-discrimination student movement demanding the fall of the fascist Awami League government.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the programmes in a coordinating meeting at the party’s Nayapaltan central office on Thursday.
He said the fascist Awami League government destroyed the democracy of Bangladesh by gradually taking away the rights of the people in a planned way.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, along with central and Dhaka city BNP leaders, was present in the meeting.
