Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Pranay Verma said Bangladesh and India will work together for security and development of both the countries.
The Indian High Commissioner said this to the reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday after the meeting with the newly appointed Foreign Secretary Jasim Uddin.
The Indian High Commissioner said, “There was a meeting with the new Foreign Secretary. The Ministry of External Affairs is an important partner in relations with the government. It was a good meeting to get to know each other. Also, there was a discussion about border-centered transportation, but no detailed discussion.”
He said, “As I have said before, we have close relations with Bangladesh. We will work together for the security and development of both the countries and we want to keep that relationship going. We want to work together more in the future.”
When the journalists asked if there was any comment on the border killings, the High Commissioner said that the foreign adviser had already spoken about it. He did not say anything more.
