Brigadier General (retd) Abdullahil Aman Azmi sought retaliation for the killing of 57 army officers in the mutiny at the headquarters of the then Border Guard Force-BDR (now Border Guard Bangladesh-BGB) in 2009.
He made this call by joining the press conference through video conference at 11 o'clock on Tuesday at the National Press Club Auditorium, Abdullahil Aman Azmi said, “In the Quran, there is justice of murder for murder. I call for investigation and trial. If those who did the investigation during the previous government did it, now it has to be done.”
He said, “All the institutions of the country have been destroyed. I believe the new government will revamp these institutions.”
The ex-army Brigadier General Abdullahil Aman Azmi, the son of Jamaat-e-Islami's former Ameer late Golam Azam, returned to his family on August 7 after remain missing for 8 years.
