A Dhaka court on Sunday imposed a travel ban on former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, his wife Lutful Tahmina Khan, daughter Safia Tasnim Khan and seven others.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammad Ash-Shams Joglul Hossain issued the order following a petition from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
ACC deputy director Mahamud Jahangir Alam sought their travel ban in court.
Seven others banned people from leaving the country are – home ministry joint secretary Dhananjoy Kumar Das, former DIG of police Mollah Nazrul Islam, Home Ministry’s acting additional secretary Md Harun Or Rashid Biswas, public relation officer Sharif Mahmud Apu, administrative officer Mollah Ibrahim Hossain, home minister’s APS Monir Hosain and Shafi Modassir Khan.
Earlier a Dhaka court imposed a travel ban on several former ministers, lawmakers and a police officer and his spouse.
