Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus said that the interim government will not make unnecessary delay in holding the national elections.
He said this while talking to representatives of various Islamic parties at the State Guest House Jamuna on Saturday afternoon. Apart from this, the Chief Adviser also urged the Islamic parties to be careful so that no one can create anarchy during the upcoming Durga Puja to maintain communal harmony.
After the meeting, the representatives of the parties told the media this information.
The leaders said that after the necessary reforms, demands were made to the Chief Adviser to create an electoral environment as soon as possible. They also said that in the dialogue, the leaders have also presented demands for several constitutional reforms, including ensuring balance in the power of the president and the prime minister, not being prime minister for more than two terms, and about electoral system.
Then, the Chief Adviser promised to resolve everything in a reasonable time and take the country towards elections.
